The Inception

Lately, my friends have been bothering me.

Specifically, they've been bothering me to give them more music to listen to, and so I put together some music-- what I was listening to at the time, what had been recommended to me, what I found dredging around KCRW. You know, stuff like that. I came up with eight tracks, the date was Feb. 8th and thus The Eight on the Eighth was born.

We Used To Vacation (Album) Cold War Kids - from Robbers and Cowards
"They really hit it right on with that song." - Wendy West, walking home from the show at the Silverlake Lounge, 01/12/2007
Standing In The Way Of Control The Gossip - from Standing In The Way Of Control
A little bit of gospel, a little bit of rock and roll...
Our Love (LP Version) Rhett Miller - from The Instigator
I was familiar with a couple of the radio hits from this album from a few years back and decided to revisit it.
Well Thought Out Twinkles Silversun Pickups - from Carnavas
If you're not familiar with them, they may take a couple listens, but this is a good album.
Chicago Ramsay Midwood - from Shoot Out At The OK Chinese
Folksy, but modern. Give it a listen.
According To Plan (Album Version) I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness - from Fear Is On Our Side
It's true, you know. I really have.
Northern Whale The Good The Bad And The Queen - from self titled album
Damon Albarn's latest project (Gorillaz, Blur). If you like them, you'll like this. If you don't, you're probably wrong.
I Like To Move In The Night (Album Version) The Eagles of Death Metal - from Death By Sexy
Yes, there first album was much better, but this one has some worthwhile tracks. I decided to give it a second chance.

Play all 8
